Unicode superscripts such as that should not be used; they produce much worse results than other forms of superscript, in particular than the <sup> tag which is the standard way of doing it. You did not assume good faith when you made that complaint (see here for more information). Did you stop to think how many usernames start with "Dr.k"? I also fail to see the "pattern" in the numbers you think are sufficient evidence to make the accusations. - Hi User:Dr.khatmando, my main concern was because your edits on the talk page of Japan were made just minutes after a double revert made by User:Dr.Koo, and with his similar bad edits on Tokyo. [edit]I undid some of your edits as I am trying to make sense out of them, could you discuss the ones you made at Emperor Kōmei, and Emperor Ninkō here or on one of the article's talkpages? - Hi Knowledgekid87, I namely added the kanji name for the burial place of Emperor Ninkō in the infobox. The rest of the edits are relatively minor; adding the Nihongo template to stylize the Japanese texts for example. TheInfernoX (talk) 14:11, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

Akihito/Heisei nomenclature

You reverted a couple of my edits changing "Akihito" to "Heisei" in the context of imperial succession. I see your reasoning, as that person is still alive. However, that doesn't necessarily entail that the era name is inappropriate for his reign as Emperor.
In Japanese, of course, the personal name of the Emperor is not used after their succession, and the convention in English is to still use it, replacing "天皇陛下" with "Emperor Akihito". But how should the same person be referred to now? There is not yet consensus in the English-speaking world about how to refer to the person called in Japanese "太上天皇" — and to me, "Heisei Emperor Emeritus" makes just as much sense as "Emperor Emeritus Akihito". - "Heisei" is actually part of his posthumous name applied to him only after his death (i.e. "the Heisei Emperor" or "Emperor Heisei") (see for example Emperor Meiji). In Japanese, it is a major faux pas to refer to him by his era name when he is still alive. As you mentioned, there is actually no consensus on how the English-speaking world is going to call him from now on, but since the Imperial Household Agency officially calls him as "the Emperor Emeritus" http://www.kunaicho.go.jp/joko/activity-en.html, I think it's a safe bet that the media will start addressing him with that title.
