- So what was wrong with the long-to-common name redirect to John Carter (South Carolina politician) that you reverted? Uncle G (talk) 13:10, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- For 17 years, this was a stub about a 19th century Boston inkmaker. On October 7, another editor redirected this article to an unrelated 19th century South Carolina politician. Last week, the nominator, Joeykai, reverted the redirect and nominated this article for deletion. --A. B. (talk • contribs • global count) 00:52, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

- Redirect to Carter's Ink Company#Development and final years. There's nothing about John W. Carter in this stub that's not already in the Carter's Ink Company article. --A. B. (talk • contribs • global count) 00:57, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
