Outside of the company's own website, I can't find any sources talking about this station. I certainly don't see an reliable sources which establish this channel's notability. Qwyrxian (talk) 00:45, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak Keep It's nothing but a pipe for infomercials and bad public domain films and has a website written by Microsoft Sam, but it is FCC-licensed. Should be reduced to a spare infobox and a stub of an article, none of this text is salvageable. Nate • (chatter) 01:35, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment A complete and spare rewrite has been done on the article, including adding an infobox and FCC links. It isn't KNBC by any means but it at least establishes that it is a station in San Diego, even if only a few watch it. Nate • (chatter) 04:32, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- 'Request for clarification: Are you implying that holding an FCC license and broadcasting a signal automatically give a tv station notability, even if no reliable sources exist that discuss it in detail? I don't know of any special notability guidelines that exist for tv stations. I'll leave a note on WP:WikiProject Television Stations, although that project is not very active. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:03, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- 'Comment' Indeed, the policy is that if it is a licensed television station by the FCC broadcasting over public airwaves, it is notable as NeutralHomer mentions below. It's now sourced with FCC information and that should meet guidelines. Nate • (chatter) 05:42, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Strong Keep: As always, TV stations of either low or full power (as well as FM, AM and LP radio stations) are notable under policy, consensus and numerous AfDs that have been turned down. This station has a license and is broadcasting (even though it is informericals and bad public domain films). The station is notable. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 05:20, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Licensed broadcast television station on channel 7 in one of the nation's largest cities. I'll see if I can't do a NewsBank search tomorrow and come up with additional references, but I don't think it should be too difficult: the station has been on the air for 21 years. It's true it's a low-power station, but that just means it's "only" viewable in the metro area... but it's quite a large metro area (there's a map of the station's signal range here. (Also, my thanks to Qwyrxian for leaving a note at WP:TVS; I have the page watchlisted and might otherwise have missed this AFD). Firsfron of Ronchester 05:53, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Weak keep It has become a de facto notability standard for broadcast stations that they are kept in AFDs if they 1) have a government license, 2) broadcast over the air, and 3) originate a portion of their programming (like a news broadcast, sports broadcasts, interview shows, etc). The latter criterion has been used to screen out low power repeater transmitters which merely extend the coverage area of a radio or TV station via simply repeating the other station's programming. This operation meets the first 2 nicely, with a 3 kw transmitter in a major city, with TV signal broadcast to a coverage area encompassing 600,000 viewers. This certainly does not mean that it has a large viewership. I could find no indication at their website that they originate any programming, as opposed to selectively transmitting offerings from other sources, perhaps along with local advertisements.
