Welcome and Hail to PITT! This project covers the creation and editing of articles related to the University of Pittsburgh, its academics, athletics, campus, people, history, and culture. This shall be done through the spirit of cooperation with the end goal of such editing being the production of articles of at least Good Article status, if not Featured Article quality. Hopefully, the result will make Wikipedia an excellent and accurate resource for Pitt-related information for all who visit. If you would like to help, please join the project by editing your User name into the member list and check out our to-do list. Our goals are to:
Improve the quality of the articles related to all things about the University of Pittsburgh and Pitt Panthers. In addition, contribute new articles where appropriate.
Improve the University of Pittsburgh's exposure by highlighting Pitt's relationship and contributions to the rest of the world by incorporating appropriate text and references in non-project articles. Given Wikipedia's use as a general resource, the more exposure that Pitt gets, the more our work is appreciated!
Properly source all Pitt-related articles, preferably using the <ref> element and the {{cite}} series of templates.
Monitor the University of Pittsburgh and Pitt Panthers pages to assure no one vandalizes them.
