Etymology 2
[edit]Learned borrowing from Koine Greek διασκεδάζω (diaskedázō, “to disperse”), from Ancient Greek διασκεδάννῡμι (diaskedánnūmi). By surface analysis, δια- (dia-) + σκεδάζω (skedázo).
