[edit]Attested as Lutrio in local Medieval Latin documents;[1] probably originally a hydronym. From Proto-Celtic *lowatrom, ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *lówh₃trom (“bath”), from *lewh₃- (“to flow”).[2]
