This invention provides an anti-freeze solution/coolant composition suitable for use, for example, in a cooling system of internal combustion engines such as engines. The anti-freeze solution/coolant composition comprises a base comprising one or a mixture of two or more members selected from the group consisting of water, alcohols, glycols, and glycol ethers, and a fluoro compound and an inorganic acid compound contained in the base. The anti-freeze solution/coolant composition can effectively suppress the corrosion of magnesium or a magnesium alloy constituting a coolant system. |
