abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a thin film of a borazine-containing silicon-based polymer useful as a flame-resistant and heat-resistant coating film and the like, and a novel borazine-containing silicon-based polymer. SOLUTION: A B, B ', B "-trialkynylborazine compound and a silicon compound having at least two hydrosilyl groups are mixed in the presence of a platinum catalyst, and the solution is applied on a substrate. Thus, a borazine-containing silicon-based polymer thin film is produced.
