abstract |
(57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To reduce environmental pollution with a material for a tobacco filter which is excellent in disintegration without impairing the tobacco taste. SOLUTION: (1) Cellulose ester short fibers such as cellulose acetate, and (2) Binder fibers selected from polysaccharides or derivatives thereof and biodegradable polymers and having binding ability to the short fibers. The sheet material having a papermaking structure thus constructed is formed into a rod shape to obtain a cigarette filter. The fibers (2) include (2a) esterified cellulose fibers, (2b) cellulose ester-coated cellulose fibers, and (2c) fibrillated fibers having a BET specific surface area of 0.5 to 4.5 m 2 / g. (2d) Cellulose fiber whose surface is at least partially solubilized by water. The sheet-shaped material may further contain beaten pulp such as wood pulp. The ratio of the fibers (1) and (2) is the former / the latter = 30/70 It is about 98/2 (% by weight). |
