abstract PURPOSE: To surely remove extraneous magnetic materials such as iron pieces without foiling in capturing the same even if the materials are ferromagnetic raw materials by moving a belt provided to a 1st magnetic separator in such a manner that the projections provided to the belt contact the raw materials. n CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of a detecting means 3 for detecting the extraneous magnetic materials existing mixedly in magnetic ore and a removing means formed of 1st and 2nd electromagnets 4, 5 for removing the extraneous magnetic materials detected by the detecting means. The nonmagnetic belt 9 traveling along the base of the 1st electromagnet 4 is provided and the projections 8a are provided to the outside peripheral face of the belt 9. As a result, the extraneous magnetic materials such as iron pieces existing mixedly in the raw materials are surely removed without fail in capturing the same even if the materials are ferromagnetic. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
