A planar glass ion-selective electrode is described comprising an inherently conductive internal reference electrode, a cation-selective glass membrane and means for adhering the reference electrode to the glass membrane. The thickness of the glass membrane is uniform in regions intended for contact with a sample for analysis. n The glass electrode is useful in assaying for the presence of sodium, hydrogen, potassium and other cations present in samples such as blood, urine, plasma, and serum. |
