abstract |
The present disclosure relates to a semiconductor light emitting device and a method for manufacturing the same, the semiconductor light emitting device comprising: a semiconductor light emitting chip having a semiconductor light emitting unit which generates light through a recombination of electrons and holes, and at least one electrode electrically connected to the semiconductor light emitting unit; a wall located on the side surface of the semiconductor light emitting unit, wherein the upper end of the wall is elevated by the surface tension thereof; and an encapsulation material which is formed in a bowl formed by the upper end of the wall and the semiconductor light emitting unit and through which light from the semiconductor light emitting unit penetrates. |
