- Der Bunnings NPC (früher Mitre 10 Cup, davor ITM Cup, davor Air New Zealand Cup) ist Neuseelands landesweite, professionelle Provinzmeisterschaft und höchste Spielklasse der Männer im neuseeländischen Rugby Union. Er wurde erstmals im Jahr 2006 ausgetragen, nach einer Aufteilung der National Provincial Championship (NPC) in zwei verschiedene Wettbewerbe. Seit 2021 ist die Baumarktkette Bunnings Warehouse Hauptsponsor und Namensgeber der Meisterschaft, davor war es von 2016 bis 2020 die Baumarktkette Mitre 10, von 2010 bis 2015 Bauzuliefererbetrieb Independent Timber Merchants (ITM) und von 2006 bis 2009 die neuseeländische Fluggesellschaft Air New Zealand. Es nehmen 14 der heutigen 26 Provinzmannschaften der NPC teil. Die übrigen zwölf Mannschaften spielen im Amateurwettbewerb Heartland Championship. Es gibt derzeit keine Relegation zwischen den beiden Bewerben. Ausrichter ist der neuseeländische Rugby-Union-Verband New Zealand Rugby. Amtierender neuseeländische Meister ist Wellington, das den Cup 2022 gewann. Rekordsieger des Wettbewerbs ist Canterbury mit insgesamt neun Titeln. - La National Provincial Championship, anteriormente llamado Mitre 10 Cup es el campeonato nacional de liga de rugby en Nueva Zelanda. Es una competición que suele comenzar en julio y terminar en octubre o principios de noviembre. La primera edición tuvo lugar en el año 1976, y ha tenido varios formatos en su historia, si bien en 2006 se hizo el último cambio para crear dos divisiones, llamándose Air NZ Cup exclusivamente a la categoría principal, compuesta por 14 equipos, y quedando los restantes 12 clubs de la antigua competición relegados a un campeonato no profesional de inferior categoría. Estos 14 equipos son representantes de sus respectivas federaciones regionales, a modo de campeonato entre provincias. 2010 es la primera temporada en la que el torneo se denomina ITM Cup, por motivos de patrocinio. Hasta el año 2009 fue conocida como Air NZ Cup por el mismo motivo. A partir de 2016 el torneo se denomina Mitre 10 Cup. El alto nivel de los jugadores que participan en esta liga hace que pueda ser comparada con la Premiership inglesa, el Top 14 francés, la Currie Cup sudafricana o la Pro14. - The National Provincial Championship, often simply called the NPC, is an annual round-robin rugby union competition in men's domestic New Zealand rugby. First played during the 2006 season, it is the second highest level of competition in New Zealand alongside the Ranfurly Shield. It is organised by New Zealand Rugby (NZR) and since 2021, it has been known as the Bunnings NPC after its headline sponsor. A concurrent women's tournament is also held, the Farah Palmer Cup. Following the 2005 season the league was restructured into a two-tier competition. The National Provincial Championship would include professional and semi-professional players, and consist of the top fourteen financial and best performing regional teams. For sponsorship reasons it was rebranded as the Air New Zealand Cup. The remaining teams would form a breakaway amateur competition known as the Heartland Championship. Twenty-nine teams have competed since the inception of the competition in 1976. Auckland are historically the most successful union with seventeen titles and Canterbury is the most successful team during the professional-era, having won nine from eleven finals. Eight other teams have won titles from both periods: Wellington (5), Waikato (3), Otago (2), Tasman (2), Bay of Plenty (1), Counties Manukau (1), Manawatu (1), and Taranaki (1). (en)

Elle se déroule sur trois mois entre juillet et octobre. Les douze autres fédérations provinciales, amateures, sont regroupées au sein du Heartland Championship. Anciennement deuxième niveau du rugby néo-zélandais derrière les test-matchs, la compétition provinciale est passée au troisième rang, du fait de l'apparition du Super 12 en 1996 (avec cinq franchises néo-zélandaise), et de l'augmentation du nombre de matchs internationaux avec le Tri-nations lancé en 1995. Lancée en 1976, la compétition est un championnat de trois divisions où s'affrontent les provinces avec un système de promotion-relégation. En 2006, la compétition connait une importante réorganisation, gardant quatorze équipes professionnels réparties dans la Premiership Division et la Championship Division. La saison régulière est commune entre les deux divisions, le dernier de la Premiership et le vainqueur du Championship échangent de divisions dans un système de promotion relégation.
