- Το Εθνικό Ίδρυμα Ερευνών (Ε.Ι.Ε.) είναι νομικό πρόσωπο ιδιωτικού δικαίου (Ν.Π.Ι.Δ.), μη κερδοσκοπικού χαρακτήρα, το οποίο ιδρύθηκε το 1958 με σκοπό τη διεξαγωγή στους τομείς των ανθρωπιστικών και θετικών επιστημών. Εποπτεύεται από τη Γενική Γραμματεία Έρευνας & Καινοτομίας (ΓΓΕΚ) του Υπουργείου Ανάπτυξης και Επενδύσεων. Αποτελείται από τρία ερευνητικά Ινστιτούτα, ένα στον τομέα των ανθρωπιστικών επιστημών (Ινστιτούτο Ιστορικών Ερευνών) και δύο στον τομέα των θετικών επιστημών (Ινστιτούτο Χημικής Βιολογίας και Ινστιτούτο Θεωρητικής και Φυσικής Χημείας). Στο Ε.Ι.Ε. ανήκει επίσης η Βιβλιοθήκη Επιστήμης, Τεχνολογίας και Πολιτισμού «Κ.Θ. Δημαράς», η οποία από το το έτος ίδρυσής της το 1958, εξυπηρετεί την ελληνική επιστημονική κοινότητα στο σύνολό της. Διευθυντής και πρόεδρος του Δ.Σ. του ιδρύματος είναι ο δρ Βασίλειος Γρηγορίου. (el)
- Das Nationale Hellenische Forschungszentrum (griechisch Εθνικό Ίδρυμα Ερευνών, Ethniko idryma erevnon, englisch National Hellenic Research Foundation, kurz: NHRF, französisch Fondation Hellénique des Recherches Scientifiques) ist eine Organisation zur Durchführung multidisziplinärer Forschungen auf den Gebieten der nationalen Geschichte, der Natur- und der technologischen Wissenschaften. Im historischen Teil unterstützt es Forschungen auf dem Gebiet der Gräzistik, der Byzantinistik und der Neogräzistik. Direktoren der bis 2012 als selbständige Institute geführten Abteilungen des Instituts für historische Forschungen waren:
* für das Institut für neogräzistische Forschungen: (1960–1962), Konstantinos Th. Dimaras (1962–1972), Dionysios Zakythinos (1971–1975), als kommissarischer Direktor Manusos Manusakas (1975–1980), (1981–1995), (1995–2000) und (2000–2012).
* für das Institut für byzantinistische Forschungen: Dionysios Zakythinos (1960–1975), Manusos Manusakas (1975–1980), (1980–1995), (1995–2000), Evangelos Chrysos (2000–2005) und (2006–2012). Direktor des 2012 eingerichteten Instituts für historische Forschungen ist Taxiarchis Kollias. Im naturwissenschaftlichen und technologischen Teil ist es seine Aufgabe, angewandte Forschungs- und Entwicklungsdienstleistungen zu bieten, vergleichbar der deutschen Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Eine weitere Organisation in Griechenland ist die Foundation for Research & Technology - Hellas. Die Stiftung wurde durch königliches Dekret vom 9. Oktober 1958 unter der Bezeichnung Βασιλικό Ίδρυμα Ερευνών gegründet. 1961 wurde ein neues von Konstantinos A. Doxiadis entworfenes Gebäude in Athen bezogen. (de)
- The National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF; Greek: Εθνικό Ίδρυμα Ερευνών (Ε.Ι.Ε.)) is a non-profit, private-law legal entity established in 1958 with the aim of conducting interdisciplinary research in the fields of science and the humanities. It is supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Ministry of Development and Investment (Greece). (ISSN 1790-3572) It consists of three research institutes, one in the field of Humanities (Institute of Historical Research) and two in the field of Science (Institute of Chemical Biology and Institute of Theoretical and Theoretical Sciences).The National Research Foundation also owns the Library of Science, Technology and Culture "K.H. Dimaras", which has served the Greek scientific community as a whole since its founding in 1958.Gregoriou is the Director and Chairman of the Board at the National Hellenic Research Foundation. (en)
