September 2023

[edit]
  1. Athena Massey: nominated at AfD; notified Keith0603 (talk · contribs) 08:49, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Since the last AFD in 2020, she's had no new roles, apart from a minor appearance in a documentary made this year, We Kill for Love, for which she gets passing mentions in the four Google News hits for her name. This version is substantially longer, having been padded out with a lot of highly promotional fan language, and still using IMDB for about a third of its sources. I can't find SIGCOV of her in reliable sources, just a lot of mentions in film and TV credits as you can see in the cites here, and a few interviews on podcasts and YouTube. Article mentions that she was featured twice in Femme Fatales (magazine), but as the WP article notes, " It was unique in that it encouraged contributions from the actresses themselves...", and I can't see that as counting substantially toward meeting WP:NACTOR.
  2. Federal Soft Systems: nominated at AfD; notified Gaargi Puri (talk · contribs) 08:03, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unremarkable company, fails WP:CORP, sourced only by press releases and trivial coverage, and in a WP:BEFORE search I can't find any better coverage in RS.. No indication of notability for awards won.

October 2023

[edit]
  1. Border Model: nominated at AfD; notified Stefantangen (talk · contribs) 05:31, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable manufacturer, doesn't meet WP:NCORP. A WP:BEFORE search in English and (machine translated) Chinese turned up only this product review from what looks like a RS. The rest are all adverts from model sellers, and a few blogs. Article currently has only one primary source from the company, plus two from vendors.
  2. Ko'asek (Co'wasuck) Traditional Band of the Sovereign Abenaki Nation: nominated at AfD; notified Ksherin (talk · contribs) 08:24, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: The Abenaki nation is obviously notable, but I can't find significant coverage from multiple secondary sources for this particular group, just routine local coverage. Most of the references aren't about this group, but about Abenaki history in New Hampshire and further afield, which could usefully be merged to Abenaki along with a paragraph on this group, but it's not yet notable enough for a separate article.
  3. Jeremy Bieber: nominated at AfD; notified Bigbrother0702 (talk · contribs) 08:58, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable relative of notable person: on Wikipedia, notability is WP:NOTINHERITED. In a WP:BEFORE search, all I can find is tabloid gossip about what he might have posted to social media etc, and always in connection with his notable son, with no independent coverage whatsoever.
  4. Oh Geeez: nominated at AfD; notified NahuelFanboy2004 (talk · contribs) 10:20, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:BAND. This has bounced back and forth to draft in at least three copies that I can see, where it was declined twice for notability and poor sourcing. It would probably qualify for speedy db-band if not for the Animation World Network reference, but that's quite short, and I can't find significant coverage in reliable sources in a WP:BEFORE search.
  5. Henry Mascot: nominated at AfD; notified SeptemberGab (talk · contribs) 07:13, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:BIO: CEO of a startup, and in a WP:BEFORE search the best I could find was this interview in a RS (but interviews are a primary source) and an article about his company in TechCrunch, a source for which WP:TECHCRUNCH says "may be useful for satisfying verifiability, but may be less useful for the purpose of determining notability". None of this amounts to SIGCOV or WP:GNG.
  6. Chechclear: nominated at RfD; Target: Tukhchar massacre (notified); notified Iamozy (talk · contribs) 17:45, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article deleted in 2007 following WP:Articles for deletion/Chechclear. Redirect recreated in 2016, with attempted expansions by anon editors ever since. It's not currently mentioned in the target article, and there are no inbound links. In a WP:BEFORE search I can't see SIGCOV in RS, and there's little realistic prospect of an article that won't go right back to AFD on grounds of notability.
  7. Jennifer Van Buskirk: nominated at AfD; notified Webmaster IISE (talk · contribs) 18:42, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:BIO. A WP:BEFORE search turned up only press releases, social media, alumni coverage from her alma maters, and an interview on Quartz [1]. Couldn't find secondary coverage about her winning the Stevie Award. Draft:Jennifer Van Buskirk was speedied G11 on 8 Oct, and the article creator is a WP:SPA, with COI evident in the edit history and the promotional photo created by article creator.

November 2023

[edit]
  1. Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha: nominated at AfD; notified Annh07 (talk · contribs) 11:50, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable TV series per WP:GNG. In a WP:BEFORE search in English and Bengali (জল থোই থোই ভালোবাসা), I can find only short promo pieces on the Times of India and the usual TV promo sites, verifying that the show exists, but no significant, secondary coverage. Moved to draft unsourced October 6, then recreated here unsourced by same editor.
  2. Stewart Scott (swimming coach): nominated at AfD; notified Essatki (talk · contribs) 16:01, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NSPORT, WP:NTRIATHLON, WP:BIO or WP:GNG. In a WP:BEFORE search, all I could find was what's cited in the article now: a passing mention in Macleans, a photo credit in a Globe & Mail article, an article written by the subject, and passing mentions in two posts on Medium. The rest is social media and passing mentions in local event coverage.
  3. Leigh Kilton-Smith: nominated at AfD; notified Primativo (talk · contribs) 11:38, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't appear to meet WP:CREATIVE yet. All of the secondary sources cited, and all of the secondary RS I could find in a WP:BEFORE search, mention her only in passing. She seems to have quite a successful career, and has worked with many notable actors, but notability on Wikipedia is WP:NOTINHERITED.
  4. Central Coast Community News: nominated at AfD; notified Wikieditor3707 (talk · contribs) 13:50, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced article about a local freesheet, apparently fails WP:GNG as I can't find a single secondary source about it online. Proposed deletion contested by article creator without comment.
  5. List of paintball manufacturers: nominated at AfD; notified Riverprimrose (talk · contribs) 19:31, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
  6. Naledi Mogadime: nominated at AfD; notified Thulo Bala (talk · contribs) 10:44, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Soft deleted three months ago, and nothing notable has happened in her career since. Not yet notable per WP:NACTOR or WP:ENT, with only minor roles and an also-ran in a reality TV show. No significant coverage of her online in RS, just passing mentions.
  7. Zeeshan Khan Rokhri: nominated at AfD; notified Cheetomalik4 (talk · contribs) 16:29, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not notable yet according to WP:MUSICBIO. A WP:BEFORE search in English and Urdu turned up only the four sources currently cited: three local press articles about a cancelled concert in a small venue in England, and a passing mention in an obituary of his father Shafaullah Khan Rokhri. It's been redirected to that article four times since creation in October 2022, on the grounds of poor sourcing or being completely unsourced, as it was when I ran across it today.
  8. Altaf Dadasaheb Shaikh: nominated at AfD; notified Anamika Vishwakarma 10 (talk · contribs) 09:52, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable by WP:FILMMAKER. Initial version had claims of all sort of fictitious awards, but the only one he seems to have received is for the "London Book of World Records", clearly a paid vanity award [2], [3],[4]. The only film he seems to have released so far is Veda BF, which likewise appears to fail WP:NFILM, so I'll bundle that into this deletion discussion.
  9. Carl Judie: nominated at AfD; notified Wikiexplorationandhelping (talk · contribs) 12:30, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable WP:NACTOR. In a WP:BEFORE search, all I can find on him is blogs and WP:THESUN.
  10. Richard Osborne (singer): nominated at AfD; notified DavidWatts212 (talk · contribs) 06:24, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:MUSICBIO. A WP:BEFORE search turned up only music blogs, and the local news story cited here. He's worked with a few notable musicians, but on WP, notability is WP:NOTINHERITED.
  11. Anas Hussain Rizvi: nominated at AfD; notified Saad Arshad Butt (talk · contribs) 14:56, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NPOL or WP:BIO. In a WP:BEFORE search I can find only passing mentions of him in English, and even less in Urdu. He's from a notable political family, so maybe someday he'll get elected to office, but until then notability is WP:NOTINHERITED.
  12. Hacktivist Vanguard: nominated at AfD; notified Pplkhhb (talk · contribs) 07:21, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable per WP:ORG and WP:GNG. A WP:BEFORE search turned up the same self-promotion of the three sources currently cited mostly reposts of the "force for good" manifesto, which in the initial creation had a dozen copied cited on various blogs masquerading as newspapers. It's a recently created group, and may have only one member, as "Hacktivist Vanguard" is credited only as the cinematographer of several films on its IMDb entry. The article is a near copy of Draft:Hacktivist Vanguard, created by two other SPAs. An IP editor tried to credit the group as "hacker group" in the cast sections of the two film articles linked in the See also section, but I can find no evidence of any film roles for this "group" online. It all reads like a recruitment page for a new hacktivist group.
  13. Malyagiri: nominated at AfD; notified Aditya anu (talk · contribs) 06:01, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NFILM: released a month ago, but in a WP:BEFORE search I can't find reviews or any significant coverage in reliable sources, in English or Odia. WP:REFBOMB'd with film blog posts announcing its release, but none of them seems to know what the film is about. Proposed deletion contested without comment.
  14. FatherShops: nominated at AfD; notified KushagraBh (talk · contribs) 09:27, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable WP:CORP. A WP:BEFORE search turned nothing about them online, apart form the usual social media PR and the two week-old paid placement articles cited. Proposed deletion contested without comment by article creator.

December 2023

[edit]
  1. Abu Hudhayfah Al-Ansari: nominated at AfD; notified Sam6897 (talk · contribs) 15:23, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable spokesman of a notable organisation. The very few reliable sources that mention him do so only in passing; all else I could find in a WP:BEFORE search in English and Arabic is blogs and social media chatter, and it's difficult to verify whether he actually exists. His predecessor's name is a redirect to Islamic State.
  2. Gautam Kapur: nominated at AfD; notified Laxmimadhesiya (talk · contribs) 16:47, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:BIO, WP:NMODEL, or WP:ACTOR. In a WP:BEFORE search I couldn't find any significant, independent, secondary coverage of him, just interviews in obscure news blogs like "Hindustan Metro", passing mentions in film notices, and WP:NEWSORGINDIA paid placement. His acting has all been minor roles so far. According to this reference, the short film he produced was an official selection at the Golden Door Film Festival, but the actual awards he's won so far are all from minor festivals of unknown notability. Zero secondary coverage of his vitamin business. Other editors interested in searching for coverage that I missed should note that there's an unrelated basketball player with the same name, and that this person's surname is sometimes transliterated as "Kapoor".
  3. Lacrima Dairy: nominated at AfD; notified DrhSR (talk · contribs) 08:58, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable WP:CORP, no significant coverage online from reliable sources, only passing mentions found in business listings in a few languages. Original version was highly promotional, and there's a previous history of this from a blocked account a year ago: see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/LÀCRIMA DAIRY, and the accompanying article and draft history. Rather than bother with a SPI, it seemed better to clean it up and take it to AFD, but there's no real sign of notability here.
  4. Skye Aurelia: nominated at AfD; notified KhalidFaruqi92 (talk · contribs) 10:51, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NMODEL or WP:BIO. Speedied G11 three times Draft:Skye Aurelia, but this one isn't eligible for speedy. WP:BEFORE search turned up passing mentions for modelling credits in WP:RS, but no significant secondary coverage - the best I can find is the Harper's Bazaar Serbia softball interview cited here, but an interview is a primary source.
  5. Samuel Leach (trader): nominated at AfD; notified KhalidFaruqi92 (talk · contribs) 11:59, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable WP:BIO. In a WP:BEFORE search all I can find is a ton of interviews and obvious paid placement, including deprecated sources like WP:THESUN and WP:DAILYEXPRESS, but also the cited "contributor" article from WP:FORBESCON, and the Bangkok Post interview cited here but at least clearly marked as PR. His charity work is routine local newspaper coverage. The rest is passing mentions such as the Reuters article cited about a charity sleepout, articles written by him, and unreliable sources like news blogs.
  6. Rajkumar (2024 film): nominated at AfD; notified Sonju10 (talk · contribs) 06:36, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:NFF: hasn't yet commenced principal photography. Sources cited say that filming was proposed to begin in July 2022, but all that's been announced so far is plans.

January 2024

[edit]
  1. Manoj Kumar Singh (civil servant): nominated at AfD; notified Bharat.varsh (talk · contribs) 14:27, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable mid-level civil servant, mentioned only in passing (or not mentioned at all) in sources cited, which are on the whole about a 2015-17 jurisdictional dispute at a university, so WP:BLP1E at best. Couldn't find anything better than the sources cited in a WP:BEFORE search. Previously soft deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manoj Kumar Chauhan under this article's original title Manoj Kumar Chauhan; moved to current title by article creator in 2022.
  2. FashFilmFete: nominated at AfD; notified Magould (talk · contribs) 10:02, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: No indication of notability per WP:GNG, just lots of name-dropping in the links for topics of the films. A WP:BEFORE search turned up only the routine local coverage cited. Festival's website doesn't yet mention it running a third time.
  3. Sivam M: nominated at AfD; notified Pranav Raj 1997 (talk · contribs) 11:14, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:FILMMAKER. A WP:BEFORE search for his name in English and Telugu only turns up routine coverage of the film, which claims to be the first children's film released nationally in India.
  4. WhatJobs: nominated at AfD; notified 雷 446 雷 (talk · contribs) 12:17, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:CORP, with no significant coverage online, just social media and press releases. Sources cited are mostly primary, along with a few unreliable secondary sources that look like paid placement.
  5. Anna Eliza Williams: nominated at AfD; notified Moondragon21 (talk · contribs) 02:58, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:BIO. Notable only for having been the oldest known person for 11 months. Died in 1997; outcome of second AFD in 2017 was to delete. My speedy nomination db-g4 (even fewer sources than the 2017 version) was declined by an admin in favour of redirect to List of the verified oldest people, but the redirect was reverted 6 days later.
  6. Sal Sparace: nominated at AfD; notified Enterprisetv (talk · contribs) 12:07, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:CREATIVE, WP:BIO or WP:GNG. In a WP:BEFORE search the only mention I can find of his name is in articles written by Sparace, about Sandro Paternostro. He's worked on some notable shows as technical director, but on Wikipedia notability is not inherited.
  7. Starry (musician): nominated at AfD; notified Princeisrael2728 (talk · contribs) 09:06, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:MUSICBIO. All I can find in an online search in English is about the same as the current sources: a mix of interviews (WP:PRIMARY) in RS like Daily Trust, Daily Nigerian and Nigerian Tribune, and puff pieces on music blogs. The RS also pretty consistently describe her as "upcoming", "budding", etc. She's put out a single EP, with no charts in evidence, the sources cited for regular radio rotation are music blogs, and the station named isn't national per WP:MUSICBIO #11.

February 2024

[edit]
  1. Teri Ik Nazar: nominated at AfD; notified Pllutin (talk · contribs) 12:40, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable per WP:GNG and the essay WP:NTV: in a WP:BEFORE search I can only find the briefest mentions of the series, in articles about the actors who appeared in it. The rest was bootlegs of the series on social media. It was one of several series nominated for a Lux Style Award in 2010, but I can't see how this alone brings it over the line for WP:GNG.
  2. Excelacom: nominated at AfD; notified Engineering Guy (talk · contribs) 02:49, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:CORP, borderline speedy delete. The only source close to a secondary reference in a reliable source I could find in a WP:BEFORE search was this passing mention on MarketWatch. The rest is press releases and company listings.
  3. Forcas and Careiras Ocean Territory: nominated at AfD; notified ItsMeGabeProductions (talk · contribs) 10:52, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Per previous nomination, alleged micronation based only on old fandom page. No reliable sources found.
  4. Usman Butt: nominated at AfD; notified EmmBee91 (talk · contribs) 20:22, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable WP:NACTOR or WP:NMODEL. All minor acting roles so far. What's cited here already is all of the reliable sources I could find online in English or Urdu, and all are primary sources: interviews, and an appearance on a TV panel game show. The only secondary coverage I could find was passing mentions in films. Editors wishing to search should note that the first name is sometimes spelled "Osman" in English, and the surname is sometimes Bhatt. There's a lot of secondary coverage of the unrelated actor Osman Khalid Butt (عثمان خالد بٹ), so I tried to exclude "Khalid" (خالد) from the search, but still couldn't improve on the sources cited.
  5. Eric Wilson (politician): nominated at AfD; notified DCevents05 (talk · contribs) 04:57, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable WP:NPOL: candidate not elected to any office yet, currently one of three candidates running in a primary election for selection as a party's nominated candidate for a November 2024 election to national office. In a WP:BEFORE search I can find only routine local coverage.
  6. E valayam: nominated at AfD; notified The Indian Cinema (talk · contribs) 19:42, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
  7. You Alone Exist: nominated at AfD; notified Fostera12 (talk · contribs) 06:38, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NFILM. In a WP:BEFORE search I couldn't find independent, secondary coverage in WP:RS, just some passing mentions of it in various Meher Baba organization's websites, that "Culture Unplugged" post of the film by its director (with a link for funding), and social media.
  8. Manzur Shafi Chowdhury: nominated at AfD; notified Growithm (talk · contribs) 08:22, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NPOL. He's the chair of an upazila, and WP:NSUBPOL notes that for Bangladesh, there's no presumed notability for subnational politicians. There is some routine coverage of him being selected for a government award for "best upazila chairman" [5], but it's unclear how notable this award is. The rest of the coverage I can find on him, and most of what's cited here so far, is that he's a candidate for a national assembly election, but WP:NPOL notes that just being a candidate doesn't confer notability, and the coverage of his candidacy in RS so far is pretty thin.
  9. Alex Heckler: nominated at AfD; notified Hazooyi (talk · contribs) 16:14, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:BIO and WP:NPOL. He's worked for some notable politicians, though I can't find reliable, secondary sources in a WP:BEFORE search to confirm many of the unsourced claims made here. All I can find is passing mentions of him in articles about Florida politics. He may well have worked for some US presidents and senators, but on Wikipedia, notability is not inherited.
  10. Akshay Akkineni (filmmaker): nominated at AfD; notified Fostera12 (talk · contribs) 06:27, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Still fails WP:FILMMAKER. Since the last AFD, he was assistant director on another film. Article also says that he has notable relatives, but notability is not inherited on Wikipedia. In a WP:BEFORE search, the best I can find in RS is gossipy reports about his wedding.
  11. Fisayomi Abebi: nominated at AfD; notified Jutos222 (talk · contribs) 05:58, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NACTOR or WP:PRODUCER, child actor who produced a film at the age of ten. Article says she has "worked on set" with notable actors, but on Wikipedia notability is not inherited. The only reliable source I can find for her online is the Nigerian Tribune Interview cited, but interviews are WP:Primary sources, and I can't find coverage of her in independent, secondary sources, just a lot of social media, and some passing mentions in gossip articles about a purported relative.
  12. Shehu Ahmed Tukur: nominated at AfD; notified Abu ogah (talk · contribs) 08:21, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NPOL: not yet been elected to office. The only secondary coverage I can find on him in reliable secondary sources is routine coverage of his candidacy, and passing mentions in election articles. The one exception was this article on a brief legal dispute over his win in a 2022 primary election [6], but I don't think single reference that pulls him over the line of WP:ANYBIO or WP:NPOL.
  13. Mark E. Shaw: nominated at AfD; notified Mushroom1498 (talk · contribs) 10:13, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable by WP:BIO or WP:GNG. I can't find significant coverage in reliable, independent, secondary sources, and most of the sources here are his own writing. There are passing mentions of him in the three World (magazine) articles cited, but all thre articles are about addiction generally, not Shaw himself.
A similarly worded attempt in April 2023 by a sockpuppet of User:BrookeCook at Mark Edward Shaw was moved to draft, then speedy deleted G5, and the SPI for BrookeCook has been pretty busy lately.
  14. Gem Television Tamil: nominated at AfD; notified Gokulakannan SK (talk · contribs) 15:56, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG: I can't find any secondary sources about this channel, in English or Tamil. It was sent to draft once, then moved back to main space the following day with only a Google search cited as a reference.
  15. Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics: nominated at AfD; notified Jahanzaibnaqvi (talk · contribs) 08:23, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:CORP, not yet notable. In a WP:BEFORE search, the only coverage I could find in secondary sources was inclusion in a Fortune "Impact20" list [7], press releases, puff pieces on dentistrytoday.com (for which I can't find evidence of editorial oversight), and a "sponsored content" piece on a local FOX affiliate [8]. The inclusion on the Fortune list is about it for secondary coverage so far, and I don't think that alone brings it up to WP:CORP or WP:GNG.
  16. Mesivta Ohel Torah: nominated at AfD; notified ישיבה גדולה (talk · contribs) 09:37, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not notable per WP:NSCHOOL, that is, per WP:ORG or WP:GNG. All I can find about it online is similar to what's here: passing mentions in articles about other things, and routine school listings. Proposed deletion last week was contested without comment by the article creator.
  17. Zachary Garmers: nominated at AfD; notified Thefatherferret770 (talk · contribs) 10:54, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NACTOR: only minor roles so far, and I can find no significant coverage in reliable, secondary sources.
  18. Shafique Mohamed Ali: nominated at AfD; notified AbscondingAlibi (talk · contribs) 09:47, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NFILMMAKER: I can find only passing mentions of him in film reviews and film credits, with no significant coverage in reliable, secondary sources.
  19. FXGT: nominated at AfD; notified Nolla Emerald (talk · contribs) 17:04, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: There's no indication that this meets WP:CORP or WP:GNG. The company won "Best Hybrid Broker 2022 at the Ultimate Fintech Awards", an award of unclear notability from what I can find about them online. Sources cited for the company are press releases, an interview, reviews on sites of unknown reliability, and routine inclusions in listings. There's plenty more of that online, but no significant coverage that I can find in reliable, secondary sources.
  20. Category:Islamic Rationalists: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Islamic rationalists; notified Greywolf28 (talk · contribs) 12:31, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: C2A, capitalization fix
  21. Okeke Chika Jerry: nominated at AfD; notified Otuọcha (talk · contribs) 16:51, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NAUTHOR or WP:NPOL. In a WP:BEFORE search, As a politician, there is only routine coverage of his candidacy for governor in 2021, along with opinion pieces by him about how he would govern. As an author, his name is mentioned in passing in a few books, such as inclusion in a list of novelists in the appendix of this book, but there isn't the level of substantial coverage of his work yet to meet WP:NAUTHOR.
  22. Vipin Reshammiya: nominated at AfD; notified ArjunKR92 (talk · contribs) 11:51, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't meet WP:MUSICBIO, WP:CREATIVE, WP:BIO or WP:GNG. I can find only passing mentions of him in reliable English and Hindi sources, nearly always in connection with his notable son Himesh Reshammiya. I did find this quote from him in a RS book, but that's effectively a WP:Primary source. He's worked with some notable people on some notable films, but on Wikipedia notability is not inherited. We could redirect to Himesh Reshammiya as an ATD, but I'm bringing it to AFD for discussion.

    • Reason: Doesn't yet meet WP:NACTOR or WP:NPRODUCER. As an actor she's had only minor roles so far. She was included in a shared nomination for an HMMA in 2021 [9], but that doesn't quite pull her over the line for notability yet. No significant coverage in reliable sources, just passing mentions. Probably WP:TOOSOON. Article creator was blocked for undisclosed paid editing.

    • Reason: Not yet notable as a politician according to WP:POLITICIAN and WP:NSUBPOL. He's a mayor and former councilmember of a small borough with a population of under 8K, and in a WP:BEFORE search I can only find routine local coverage of his campaign and election. The state commission appointment by the governor also seems to have had only routine local coverage. Having been elected at such an early age, he might well move up to an elected state position eventually, and would then certainly merit an article, but for now it's WP:TOOSOON.

    • Reason: Not yet notable by WP:MUSICBIO, WP:NACTOR, WP:BIO or WP:GNG, with no significant coverage in reliable sources. A WP:BEFORE search turns up mainly social media, WP:NEWSORGINDIA paid reporting, and obvious paid coverage in faux-newspaper websites like "Punjab News Express" and "Fox Interviewer". An article on the same person has just been nominated for speedy deletion db-spam at Hindi WP, but I tried to clean this one up and find some RS to support WP:NACTOR, as one reference here claims he won an award for a film role. That reference claims he played a police officer, but IMDB says it was a "special appearance", so if any editor has seen the film, please let us know if it's anything more than a minor walk-on role.

Article creator never responded to questions about use of multiple accounts at their user talk page. Perhaps this AFD will end quickly with a db-repost, once the two accounts have been blocked for sockpuppetry. He has appeared on some local news broadcasts, appeared once on Court TV as a legal commentator (at 4:00 - 8:26 in the source cited), and wrote a commentary piece for the News Journal, but the sources for that are all primary. All I could find about him in a WP:BEFORE search of secondary sources was passing mentions, with no significant coverage of him, apart from him speaking publicly about a case where he was counsel. For the rest of the vague claims here, about him helping to originate the "Miami sound" (editors searching for that, please exclude the word "Machine" from the search, as he wasn't involved with Miami Sound Machine), or about being invited to join Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, awards, inductions into halls of fame, etc., I've found nothing.

  2. American Communist Party: nominated at AfD; notified 195.92.67.208 (talk · contribs) 14:43, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Organization formed yesterday, and no indication of notability per WP:ORG or WP:GNG. They have a website with a declaration and a currently empty map of chapters. All I can find on them online is a few posts on social media, less than a day old. Ineligible for speedy A7, as it was a 2003 redirect to Communist Party USA.
  3. Bounce Back Technologies: nominated at AfD; notified Cece GFI (talk · contribs) 13:43, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unremarkable IT consultancy, fails WP:CORP, no significant coverage from reliable sources found in a WP:BEFORE search. Referenced only by a press release posted to two websites. Borderline speedy WP:A7.
  4. Celebrations (company): nominated at AfD; notified Farmaiop (talk · contribs) 19:27, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable company, variously called "Celebrations", Celebrations4U and Celebrations 4U, by its website and the sources cited. No significant coverage of the company itself in WP:RS, just WP:NEWSORGINDIA quotes from its company head in articles about wedding planning. Nothing online about the awards supposedly won, or the awards' significance, or about them having offices abroad. Borderline speedy deletion candidate, if it weren't for the rent-a-quotes in national press. Strong aroma of undisclosed paid editing in this and other articles by the article creator.
  5. Ankit Menon: nominated at AfD; notified Justier100 (talk · contribs) 08:59, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:MUSICBIO or WP:FILMMAKER. He's written and sung songs for what appear to be notable films, but on Wikipedia notability is not inherited. I can't find significant coverage of him in reliable, secondary English or Malayalam sources (അങ്കിത് മേനോൻ). The best coverage of him I could find in a RS was in Malayala Manorama: this interview (primary source) and this article about his music for a film. The rest is passing mentions. Possibly WP:TOOSOON.

August 2024

  1. Brights (company): nominated at AfD; notified Anshavvre (talk · contribs) 15:26, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unremarkable outsourcing company, fails WP:CORP. No significant coverage in reliable secondary sources in a WP:BEFORE search, sources are all press releases or passing mentions. "Awards" are inclusion in two long lists of service provider on Clutch.co. Borderline speedy db-corp. Article's edit history strongly suggests paid editing.
  2. Boketo Media: nominated at AfD; notified KelliverLucklile (talk · contribs) 20:33, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: No indication of independent notability per WP:CORP. In a WP:BEFORE search, I can't find any coverage in secondary WP:RS, and only the two primary sources cited actually mention the company. The company's founder appears to be notable as a YouTube comedian and producer, and the company claims some notable clients, but on Wikipedia notability is not inherited.
  3. Gary Goh: nominated at AfD; notified Req456 (talk · contribs) 16:32, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:BIO, WP:NAUTHOR, WP:NPROF and WP:GNG. I can't find a single reliable secondary source on him, and this version of the article (recreated in May 2024) is sourced only by press releases and the author's own works. His press releases says he was a visiting/emeritus professor at California International Business University in the US, South-West State University in Russia, and an online outfit called "SABI University" in France which appears to be a degree mill. I can find nothing remarkable about his academic career.
Outcome of the last AFD was to draftify per creator's request in April 2019. The draft was abandoned, and deleted in March 2021.
  4. Eva Carboni: nominated at AfD; notified BluesWolfy (talk · contribs) 05:42, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:MUSICBIO. Her main claim to notability appears to be her collaboration with Mick Simpson, whose own notability remains unclear, but in any case on Wikipedia notability is not inherited. The only coverage I could find of her in a WP:BEFORE search is in music blogs, with no significant coverage in reliable, secondary sources.
  5. Thejo Kumari Amudala: nominated at AfD; notified Mausami Saxena (talk · contribs) 12:22, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:BIO, an obvious paid-editing vanity page by an obvious block-evading sockpuppet, and speedy-deleted three times already G5. It's been bounced back and forth to draft, and it seemed best to take it to AFD so the next time it's created we have a quick route to db-G4.
Ms. Amudala is chiefly notable as an avid collector of paid bogus awards, including the "Dadasaheb Phalke Icon award (a paid award completely unrelated to the Dadasaheb Phalke Award), "Mahatma Gandhi International Nobel Peace Award", "Nelson Mandela Nobel Peace Award", the "Real Superhero Award" (supposedly awarded by the United Nations), etc. All of the gushing references are obviously paid placement WP:NEWSORGINDIA fluff: North American and European editors will please note that CNBC TV18 is a joint venture, operating with quite different editorial standards to the US and European CNBC networks, so is not the reliable source it might appear. Her role with the World Human Rights Protection Commissions is unclear: what does a President of the WHRPC actually do? The WHRPC itself is an NGO of unclear notability, which among other things awards "honorary doctorates" although it's not a university. The article claims that she won "Mrs. Asia Universe" in 2022: one of the sources cited says it was "Ms. Universe", not that it makes much difference in this case. I can't find any significant coverage of her in reliable secondary sources.
  6. Jill Bryson: nominated at AfD; notified Waigyuk (talk · contribs) 09:11, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not sufficiently notable per WP:MUSICBIO or WP:ARTIST for a separate article, with no significant coverage in reliable secondary sources outside of her involvement with her first band. Her recent work as an artist did get some secondary coverage in this Sunday Post article, but the rest that I could find in a WP:BEFORE search is either interviews or passing mentions in connection with the band. Created twice by single-purpose accounts, and redirected to the band article twice in 2014, it's essentially an autobiography [18], [19], full of unsourced claims and WP:OR. Rather than redirect it a third time, it seemed best to take it to an AFD discussion: see also at the talk page a discussion about this with the editor who last redirected it.
  7. Joe Bartolozzi: nominated at AfD; notified Venis067 (talk · contribs) 14:14, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:BIO, WP:CREATIVE or WP:ENTERTAINER. In a WP:BEFORE search the best I could find was the short Indy100 article on a hoax about his supposed death last year. The rest is social media, an article in WP:THESUN about the same hoax [20], and sponsored content pieces like these: [21], [22], [23].
  8. USP Digital: nominated at AfD; notified Daisybs (talk · contribs) 14:27, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable content creation company per WP:CORP and WP:GNG. Article is obviously UPE, REFBOMB'd almost entirely by press releases. The award from the John Lennon competition looks like it might be notable, but there's no mention of the company in the sources cited. The "International Songwriting Competition" appears to be a paid award, and again no mention of the company. A WP:BEFORE search turned up no coverage in reliable secondary sources. Borderline speedy A7/G11.
  9. Abdul Samad Dawood: nominated at AfD; notified Crosji (talk · contribs) 17:16, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Little has changed in his fortunes since the last AFD. He's still a successful and civic-minded businessman from a prominent Pakistani business family, and has worked at a high level for some notable companies. But on Wikipedia, notability is not inherited. I couldn't find SIGCOV of him in English or Urdu, just passing mentions in articles about the companies and organisations he's worked for, nothing to bring it up to the standard of WP:BIO or WP:GNG.
  10. IPXO: nominated at AfD; notified Muzeke (talk · contribs) 11:22, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unremarkable network services company, fails WP:CORP. Articles is sourced only by press releases and sponsored content, and I could find no WP:SIGCOV from reliable, secondary sources.
  11. AsianWiki: nominated at AfD; notified Samra Kousar (talk · contribs) 09:48, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable by WP:NWEB or WP:GNG, with no significant coverage from reliable secondary sources. All I could find was some of their photos getting photo credits in film articles on some mainstream news websites [24], and some passing mentions of "...according to AsianWiki..." in a few film news articles [25]. SimilarWeb says they get 7 million hits a day, so per WP:INHERENTWEB we should expect more coverage of them in reliable sources, but I couldn't find it.

  1. Tariq Hussain Keen: nominated at AfD; notified Musharaf Keen01 (talk · contribs) 07:47, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable per WP:NPOL, a middle-ranking party bureaucrat and failed 2014 candidate. If he wins in this year's election he'd be notable, so the article was draftified once, but then immediately copied back to main space. The only coverage I could find in a WP:BEFORE search was routine coverage his candidacy, and passing mentions.
  2. Christiane Wolf: nominated at AfD; notified Rockette721 (talk · contribs) 18:14, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: She's evidently done commendable work, such as the VA program, but I can't find significant coverage of her, or reviews of her books in reliable sources, to meet WP:NAUTHOR, WP:BIO or WP:GNG. She's also worked with some notable people, but on Wikipedia notability is not inherited.
  3. SaadiCorp: nominated at AfD; notified Qwalalala (talk · contribs) 13:15, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
  4. Karmaanya: nominated at AfD; notified Arshadkhanwriter (talk · contribs) 10:28, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable per WP:NFILM, references cited confirm that principal photography hasn't begun yet, so the film may never see the light of day. All I could find online in English and Hindi (कर्माण्य) was WP:NEWSORGINDIA announcements about a teaser (currently CGI and a single actor) and a poster. Prodded once, moved to draft, declined there for notability.
  5. Md Nahid Islam: nominated at AfD; notified Syfullah Nabil (talk · contribs) 16:13, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: No indication of notability per WP:CREATIVE. Main claim to fame is that he was the youngest professional sports photographer. Articles was draftified yesterday from Md. Nahid Islam, sourced only with the dailycricket.com.bn sports blog post. Today it's been recreated with a second sports blog post from rabsportsnews.com, dated today, not a good sign of an independent source. A WP:BEFORE search turned up no coverage in reliable sources in English or Bengali (নাহিদ ইসলাম). Editors searching for any RS I missed please note that Nahid Islam is an unrelated activist.

  1. Category:Recipient of the Duke of Gloucester's Cup: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Recipients of the Duke of Gloucester's Cup; notified Nford24 (talk · contribs) 17:46, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: C2A, plural "recipients".
  2. Arvin's Cockroach: nominated at AfD; notified Koar20104 (talk · contribs) 14:53, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Probable hoax, unreferenced and not a single mention of it online.
  3. Jennifer Chan (musician): nominated at AfD; notified Noveltykid (talk · contribs) 09:25, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not notable per WP:MUSICBIO, she released one EP which didn't chart, and I can't find significant coverage of her or the EP in reliable sources in English or Chinese. Not notable per WP:NACTOR, as her only lead role was in the film Dreamtrips, and I can't find SIGCOV of the film or her as an actress in reliable sources, apart from that it was screened at a notable festival. I couldn't find any coverage of her as a radio presenter, only that she won the RTHK disk jockey competition. She left show business in the 90s or 00s to become an architect, and I can't find SIGCOV of her per WP:NARCHITECT.
Editors searching for coverage that I missed, please note that there's an unrelated singer Jennifer Chan from Hong Kong at JC (singer), who debuted in 2016. There's also an unrelated American Jennifer Chan, who's been a TV presenter.
  4. Nonna Akhperjanyan: nominated at AfD; notified Гриша Андреасяан (talk · contribs) 12:41, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable TV person. Nothing about her online in English, and the only trace of her online in Armenian is video clips of her as a chat show guest, not a host, with zero coverage in reliable sources. Article creator has been blocked for six months at Armenian Wikipedia for endlessly creating unsourced or barely sourced articles like this about obscure topics and ignoring warnings about it. This article, hy:Նոննա Ախպերջանյան, was speedied five times there A7. They've also been indeffed at Russian Wikipedia for the same thing, and indeffed at Commons for copyright abuse. Borderline db-bio.
  5. Tim Sheehy (businessman): nominated at AfD; notified MontanaMako (talk · contribs) 13:12, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason': This is actually a second AFD. The outcome of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tim Sheehy (American politician) was a strong consensus to redirect, with two "delete"s and no "keep"s. This new article was created as a redirect to the same target [26], on the grounds that in the Timothy Sheehy disambiguation page he's "not a politician yet". Another editor came along a week later and recreated the last article from that new redirect. A Google search for him, minus the word "Senate", turns up no significant coverate in reliable sources as a businessman or a soldier. The US is now three weeks away from a national election, and all of the major candidates are getting heavy press coverage. db-repost was declined, and the declining admin took a straw poll of editors from the last AFD at Talk:Tim Sheehy (businessman), and all have upheld the last consensus so far. So this article should be deleted, as it's really a renamed repost of Tim Sheehy (American politician). If Sheehy wins, then that article should obviously be un-redirected and expanded.
  6. GITEX ASIA: nominated at AfD; notified Smakhba (talk · contribs) 15:58, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Promotional article for non-notable upcoming technology expo. In a WP:BEFORE search, all I could find was more of what's cited here: press releases, routine coverage in expo listings, and paid placement. I was about to redirect it to GITEX as an alternative to deletion, but thought it was better bring it to AFD first.
