Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is an action role-playing game developed by Monolith Soft for the Nintendo Switch and the third main entry in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. The game was announced during Nintendo Direct on February 9, 2022, and was released in July 2022.

Adds compatibility with the third wave of Expansion Pass content, fixes an issue in which certain enemy names and models would not match, fixes an issue in which increasing a Class Level to 10 when clearing the final battle would cause the class appearance to not unlock, fixes an issue causing certain Collectopaedia cards to continue to display their initial rewards after completing them, fixes an issue in which lowering the volume of Effects in Audio Settings would still cause the footstep and battle sound effects to still sound louder during Challenge Battles, fixes an issue causing party members to continuously KO and resurrect by sliding down a rope, fixes an issue in which pressing buttons at a certain time while loading after launching the game would open the battle menu, fixes an issue in which Mio's Chain Order would not decrease Attacker and Healer aggro, gameplay adjustments.

Downloadable content
As with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be receiving additional paid downloadable content through the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass. The Expansion Pass was made available for pre-order starting on June 22, granting access to four waves of content:[2]
- Wave 1 (July 29, 2022) - Includes a set of items and color variations for character outfits.
- Wave 2 (October 13, 2022) - Includes Challenge Battle mode, the additional Hero Ino and associated Hero Quests, and additional character outfits.[6]
- Wave 3 (February 15, 2023) - Includes additional battles for Challenge Battle mode, the additional hero Masha and associated quests, and additional character outfits.[7]
- Wave 4 (Releasing by December 31, 2023) - Includes an additional story.
