I think I never stopped smiling the whole book. Every piece of dialogue from Misery was entertaining. She was sassy and funny. I loved the chemistry between herself and Lowe. The side characters elevated this story to ensure it was the 5 star read I gave it. There are just so many good vibes captured in this book, you'd be remiss not to read it.
It's definitely a more gentle omegaverse book, but it still has plenty of spice. Perfect forced proximity, arranged marriage romance. I feel like this book will have me feeling good for days....more

The voices they chose for Feyre and Rhysand were utter perfection. For all the rereads I'll have in the future, I will always imagine Rhy's voice this way *swoon*.

The dark, poetic writing. The amazingly complex and heartbreaking characters. Riley Nash, you are a superstar author and I'm a fan for life now.
Ethan and Victor are like two characters I've never come across before. I think that's what makes this book so special. You can tell the author really sat down and created their personalities and stuck to them throughout the narrative. If you love enemies-to-lovers stories, then this one is utter perfection in its own uniqueness. I would more call it hate-to-love and there's no misunderstanding in the start of the story - they just really dislike each other, which makes this story all the more beautiful. My only criticism (and it didn't lose any rating for it) is that the ending felt slightly rushed. Everything was resolved, I just wanted more from it; though, that could easily be because I loved Ethan and Victor so much I was just demanding more story!
I'm off the buy the physical copy now because I loved it so much ... that's how good it is!

One of my guilty pleasures in life is reading military romances (even better when they're MM), but I'm always disappointed there is never enough action. I was born and bred originally in action books and movies (think Matthew Reilly) and it carried over into my progression to romance. This book did action and romance to *chefs kiss* perfection!
Matt and Travis. Oh I love them dearly. Matt was a cinnamon bun and had the kindest heart. I really appreciated how the author made him brave, but didn't have to make him all tough and out of character to do it. Travis was sooooo adorably sweet and a fierce protector. He was the sort of protective I wish more romance authors understood (I find they often miscontrue protective with possessive). I honestly thought I wasn't a fan of slow burn romances, but that's two for two now (also The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic) that I am just hook, line and sinker for their love. I'm disappointed theres no more Matt and Travis books.
And the side characters. What a delight they were. I truly liked them all (except Brian, rotten putrid blurgh). Even Petey!! He was one of those characters that shocked me and I couldn't believe from his very first introduction (I literally said out loud "how dare he!!") to his very last page how much I adored him.
Look, just read the book. After reading it, the cover has even grown on me and makes a lot more sense ... "Look Up" (iykyk).
You'll love this if you like military and it's active duty, slow burn romance, MM, minimal smut on page (like seriously none, but did not in any way detract from the story), found family, protective alpha male, sweet, sweet moments and honourable men.

Let me just start with, Lily Oh my. What. An. Ending. What. A. Book. What a cliffhanger. I'm just .... W O W! That last 10 percent had me in its clutches.
Let me just start with, Lily Mayne, you are one wonderful storyteller. This whole plot was so incredibly unique to me. I could imagine every vivid detail you created in perfect clarity and it made for the most incredible reading experience. Ash's entire world became mine and I love that feeling when reading.
Which leads me to some very special characters. Ash. Swoon. What a little sweetie. He was the right amount of purity and goodness, mixed with a little backbone and harshness. By the end Ash is a whole new man and I just know book 2 is going to show a new side of him. Now Lonan. Precious Lonan. The boy who clearly has no idea about love, but manages to give it so freely to Ash anyway. I don't know what to feel about them now, but I'll admit my hearts on the floor and my cats are doing puddings with it. I'm to emotional about that relationship. Be warned this is not where they get a HEA .... they are so far from a HFN too. I'm so beyond happy I waited until book 2 was released!
Anyway, if you love folklore, MM love, can handle cliffhangers and not really HFN (i.e. you have the patience to stick it out for the HEA), fae, interesting side characters, a beautiful and vivid fantasy world you can immerse yourself in - then this is the book for you. Give it a go! It's super different from Lily's Monstrous series, but still has her amazing writing style and incredible three-dimensional, emotionally charged characters....more

Cam and Brady are just gorgeous ♡ I loved their relationship and Lisa Henry did an amazing job utilising their ability to be in each others minds. The dynamics and chemistry between the two was off the charts and made a really intriguing story a million times better.

I'm wrecked. I just know I'm going to have a book hangover now and nothing will be good enough. This series is just beautiful, amazing and absolute perfection.
Neil and Andrew are two very special characters that will stay with me forever. I've never been a fan of a slow burn that takes several books for a kiss (in this case 3), but wow did Nora Sakavic nail the mark on slow burn romance. I wouldn't have wanted this any other way (only one more book ... at least ... so I could really enjoy their relationship, maybe even a longer epilogue). And didn't she do their relationship justice too?! She changed nothing about their personalities and how they would respond just to suit the generic romanctic narrative; she wrote their love that was so authentic to both Neil and Andrew. I mean this by how we get to see Neil understand his feelings slowly through the books and how it becomes so simple for him, as in 'yes' to everything Andrew. But she really did Andrew's side justice. No proclamations of love, just shows it in his fierce protectiveness and how he cares (i.e. helping Neil with the shower after his injuries ...more
