Cass is an assistant (and oh my, she should quit, she can not see how much she is used, not to mention her boss' fiance keeps hitting on her, creep!) But she is a nice hardworking woman (that should take a chance). So she goes away for the holidays to be alone. Boom car accident, stuck int he mountains with a cowboy!
Eli was omg the sweetest. All he does is work work and no time for a woman. He is just too sweet and has let go of all of that. He might be a bit grumpy since he wanted alonetime too, but alas no.
They get to know each other. She is a complete mess at things. They start to fall in love and the snow keeps on piling up.
There will be drama as she starts to remember things, and there she does something so silly. I mean just talk with him woman! But I guess we need drama. Still, talk to him!
And then they lie happily ever after! Awwww.
Sweet and a great book this winter.

Clayton is an Ex-Seal who comes home to help with the farm when everything has gone to hell. Stolen cattle, a father who is ill and more. He was so sweet and wonderful and yes a true cowboy hero. But with wounds of his own.
Abby takes care of her two younger brothers and does nothing for herself. They are dirtpoor but they have each other. She was great, he whole family was great. But then her brother steals cattle. Which leads to the best thing ever. They all meet hunky Clayton.
I liked how they slowly became friends and then more. I felt it moved in a nice pace and that they truly liked each other.
There is also some suspense regarding the stolen cattle and who was behind it all.

Luke is wanted and is trying to find the man framing him. Josie has no memory of who she is but she is wanted for murder....
I am unsure about some details, gosh, I really did not keep my focus on the book, or maybe it was not explained....

Emily is a true rancher and loves everything about the life. Country girl to the bone. She just lost her grandfather and delivered some old love letters to an old flame of his. In comes Greg, the old "girlfriend's" grandson. A hunky cowboy who loves his farm and who first mistrusts Emily. She does come out of nowhere, but she shows her worth, friendship blossoms, and then romance.
And no book is complete without two meddling old women, haha, yes I loved them. They also had some plans in motion and it was just hilarious.
The romance was sweet and these two sure fell for each other. No over done drama either, just two people falling in love.

The Holidays are close in this book and a Lucas is gonna see the girl he has talked to online for months. You would think it would be all kisses and hugs but Natalie did forget to tell him she got preggers and had a baby. I do get why he got mad, she should have told him but there is a reason why she did not. So it's a rocky start and they has to become friends and fall in love all over again.

Naomi and her family is heading west (but are the entire town running from something? *insert music of almost doom*. First we have weather that does what it wants and not what the travelers want. Dangerous rivers, killer snakes and do not forget Indians. The whole caravan is also very tense cos of something that must have happened for them to leave it all behind. Which was a bit extreme but hey their choice.
In comes Colby, all around nice guy who knows about the land and agrees to help these poor lost travelers. Like I said he was a good guy, but he has some issues from his past that makes a romance not in the cards.
Romance. Of course there is romance! Just cos the heroine do not trust Colby and Colby is all arghh issues from my past, does not mean there will not be romance ;) I liked that it happened slow. They became friends and sparks slowly started to form. But they had some things to work through first.
All in all a nice western romance that shows the hard life and how everyone had to work together to survive. ...more

Did the romance come quick? No. Did it come easy? No. This couple struggled and my heart wept for her. Ellen was a strong woman who had been through a lot and she acts like a little grey mouse, not voicing her opinion. I shall not say what happened, but she has a secret and it's something others have a hard time handling.
Life on the frontier was not exactly easy either. It's a tough life.
Connor was a good man. Again, I can't say much, but yes he comes around.
Life on the farm, getting to know a new husband, having a step-daughter who hates her and more creates a good book that was hard to put down. I just wanted to know one thing...will there be love? So I could not stop reading.

The book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. There is talk of Dewar's family and friends, but hey that's normal. You do not need to have read previous ones to follow along.
Dewar is a cowboy through and through. He loves his ranch, he loves the life. Haley is everything he isn't. She loves her job in Dallas and her power suits. Therein lies the drama. These two meet, become friends and then something more. But there is always that big cloud over them. He wants to live where he lives, she is going back to Dallas and her fancy office.
The atmosphere was also nice in this one as they went on a month long cattle drive, and lots happened. I will just leave it at lots so not to spoil anything.
While reading I heard about Haley's grandma and I am telling ya, I would love that story :D Hint hint to the author.

Maggie is left withA brutal beginning, but then to have made life easy for Maggie would not have been right. It had to be brutal and leave her angry.
Maggie is left with a dead husband and a thirst for vengeance after the outlaws did what they did to her too. Not something I want to happen to a heroine, but that she would have been left unhurt after something like that, yes not likely. But she was such a strong woman, she did not let it hold her down. She is also a true pioneer woman, ready to work like any man. At first I was a bit wary as her husband was dead after all and I knew she and Sage would find each other. But, a loveless marriage is nothing to cry over.
Sage then, half Indian, owner of one big ranch and with scars of his own. A very colorful past that we learn more of. He is a good man, kind and strong. Now who would not fall for him?
It's a slow building romance as they both are scarred. But it also about the hunt for the outlaws and riding through wild country. Both animals and bad men out there. And with that it was different, because it showed the more brutal side.

In this new series we meet billionaire Colton who is running from the crazy women that want his money. Colton is nice, hardworking, loves his farm, and yes he is also sexy and has lots of money.
Then there is Laura, who has issues from her past and a sister in trouble. Laura is the nerdy girl with glasses. The girl with commitments problems. The sweet girl who loves gardening and has no problems with farm life. So they are perfect for each other, but they just had to get past a few speed bumps first.
The whole premise is nice. She is his fake girlfriend and of course that means they get close. It's a fake romance that blossoms. All while we have a nice atmosphere and get to meet everyone on the farm. It's a close family, a nice family. I enjoyed meeting them all, and seeing Colton and Laura falling in love.

The hero is a cowboy, like you did not see that coming, lol. Mack is nice and works hard to keep the ranch going. He used to be a bronc rider and came home to help his mum. Gotta love a good guy.
The story is about Cat trying to bond with her niece. Cat and Mack falling in love, being passionate, messing things up cos of spoilers spoilers. There is also the story of wanting the ranch to thrive and..well other things I can't mention either. But all good things to read about as they brought excitement.

Gemma and Trace are doing the rodeo circuit and they are head to head. But only one person can win. Sure, I was rooting for Gemma, girl power and all that. Sorry Trace. They are in competition, but slowly something grows there and they start spending time together in private too.
I liked their families and the whole rodeo thing. The drama comes rather late and is quickly resolved because omg they talk about it and are there for each other.
I enjoyed it
------------- In this Brown novel it's Gemma who gets her shot at love. She is a bronc rider and is competing for the grand prize. She is tough as nails and wont anyone walk over her, in this manly world. But she is also kind, and yes sassy.
In comes hunky Trace, of course she has checked him out and he her. But he is her most fierce competition so no chance of anything happening. But who am I kidding, of course something will happen. These two will spend months travelling the same roads, going to the same places. Fate is pushing them together.

Sarah, I could understand her. Who wants to live in a dying town and with memories like that, so she left and created a new persona. Someone successful and from a good background, but she never lied. She is what Lane should be, but again also re-invented himself and threw away he privileged rich boy and tried his best to become a rancher and a cowboy. So they are opposites, however you look at it. But then does Sarah really want to be all prissy?
After having read 2 other books by her I did expect a bit of drama or something, but this was not that kind of book. This was all about the romance. Sarah struggles with her attraction as he is her boss's brother. And Lane really wants her. But she puts up quite the fight, good for her, he should work for it.
There is also a bit about her getting over something in the past and going back home. The town she never wanted to see again. She does have a few issues to deal with.
Conclusion: All in all making this a sweet (and passionate) cowboy romance. Boy meets girl, the oldest story in the world, and just as lovely as always. ...more

Great and now I forgot his name..Grady? *checks* Ok yes Grady is a bounty hunter, bad and bad. Eliza is a mormon who runs away after her sister runs away. Since Grady is the one after her sister. Eliza was a bit naive, but duh! She was raised that away. Grady was tough and yes I did like that he showed it. He is not nice. Even if I would have kicked him in the nuts but still....

I knew Ace from before (he loves his women), and Jasmine who owns the café. They are friends and that is it. But Ace needs a wife and Jasmine is a good friend. But of course we all know what will happen. Feelings, passion and happily ever after. I like how she still manages to make it believable even if much time does not pass. Because they have known each other for a while before, and throwing them in a room together makes things explode. But they still think about things, what they want, and if they want what they might find. So that is what the book is about. Could this be more than a fake wedding?
And as always there are all the people from before showing up here and there, old and new friends that I am happy to meet again. I can feel the hot Texas sun on my skin and the dirt under my feet. There is passion and laughter and all tied together with a lightness and ease.

Josie, Deacon and Sadie are looking for a mystical city. Most of the book takes ship in a ship and they will face some pretty bad things. And since this is a short one I will not say what those bad things are. But this land is sure going to hell, I have a hard time seeing a future for them. Well it does not take many to start anew but still, as long as they survive.
It's a nice dystopian western series. Hope is not something you find here (well except when talking to Josie and Deacon), and I do like that it is dark.

There is one thing I have come to connect with Brown's books, and that is that they always makes me smile. I usually sit there with a grin on my face, because they are sweet and fun.
This book is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone. You will feel at home at once. The books are inviting and the town is a place I would like to visit, and the people there, I would love to have them as friends.
In this one we have Liz, a former carnie, who wants to settle down and get some roots, and then we have the hot cowboy next door, Rayleen. They met before long ago, and that crush never left either of them. It is just destined. They know it when they meet, and the passion is sizzling. They are just perfect together. She grows roots, and he finds love.
A quote from her best friend: "Love at first sight is bullshit. But the heart can reach out and know its soul mate at first sight and then love can come later." (quote taken from an uncorrected proof, it can differ in the final copy.)
That sums is up perfectly of what their love is like. And sure there is a tad of drama too, can she grow those roots and settle down?
And as always what I like about her books are the sayings, the book is filled with them and they make me smile. I do feel they are one of the best things with this book. Let's see if I can brave one, their love is hotter than a hellcat on a Sunday (ok that makes no sense, but you get the general idea. And I am bad with these.) I love to read them though, and I sure want to talk like that, yes mam.

This one can be read as a stand alone even if it is in a series. We met Pearl and Wil briefly in book 1 and in this book they meet each other for the first time.
This book is just sweet as butter on fried chicken, oh wait, that wasn't a good one, I am not good at creating these sayings. Brown just this way with words in the book but I am not as good as her. And I love those sayings! This book just makes me want to get a cowboy of my own, listen to country music (which I have started to do) and just enjoy it all. It had me smiling and looking around the room for someone to tell how darn sweet it was.
On to the story: Pearl had a good job but gave it up to run her aunt's motel. Sure the work was hard, but she wanted change and I liked how she just took a chance like that. She is also really sassy and she meets her match in Wil. A cowboy and farmer to the core, and he is just the man to tame her. Together they were just lovely. It's lust at once, but they still take it sort of slow (I said sort of), get to know each other and realize that they are just meant to be. The book is truly their story, how he courts her and how they get their HEA.
There is also the plot about the help she hires at the motel and I liked Lucy. And of course we meet everyone we met in book 1. There are more cowboys who will fall in love and I can't wait to read about the O'Donnell brothers.
Conclusion:
The word is sweet. I love the characters, the way they interact and the whole atmosphere. She makes me want to read more books just like this.
