Lots of fighting, jealousies, and insecurities made this second book in the series a rougher read than the first (which I simply adored)!
Many of the arguments and fights were between Evan and Dan who where both too quick to anger and assumptions that served to derail their fragile new triad.
Things work out in the end, but it’s after a bit of a weary battle interspersed with some hot scenes and only one threesome (which was over a phone).
Less horse talk than in the first, less tears of loss over Justin, but many more insecurities.
I’m not sure if I’ll continue with the series or maybe just take a break from all the drama!

The first, Into Deep Waters was PHENOMENAL and made me go through an entire box of tissues!
This book was as much a deviation from the other as could be in a non-paranormal world. I was ready to love it, but I ended up simply liking it. Here’s why...
I know this story came out of a challenge to throw three disparate characters together, whip them up and see what comes out of the oven. The ingredients? One young, NHL-bound hockey player. One 33 year old ex-marine turned small town sheriff. And one 33 year old ranch foreman.
What do they have in common? They are all in the closet and they have amazing sex. We see all three of them together a lot. We also see each of them alone in their own POV. What we don’t see a lot of is twosomes. Another reviewer (Moony Eliver) mentioned this. I saw connection between the three because I was told there was a connection....BUT I didn’t FEEL it.
Maybe there were too many ingredients in the pie (closets, deaths, investigations, long distance relationships, liberal families, a re-election campaign, hockey teams, hockey games, funerals, wills, angry family members, secretive pasts, car accident, a sting operation, blackmail, murder, award ceremonies, coming out, realtors, energy companies, ranch hands...) Maybe it didn’t cook long enough for all of those ingredients to properly combine. I can’t imagine how long this would take to cook—did you see that list? And I’m sure I forgot some.
I simply didn’t feel how these characters meshed outside of sex and that made me care less about the sexy times (and they were plenty hot)!
All that being said, when I finished the book I kept on reading the sneak peek at the next book because, yessssssss, I’m going to read it.
The story has solid bones, hopefully the next book will strikes the right balance in this triad and come out a five star dish!!...more

Well, a challenge had me looking at this book again & I realized it was MMM. It was also a free listen on Hoopla with Joel Leslie and Anthony Ferguson. My 3.5 stars moved to a 4 because of the narration. Triple POV.
Why not? I said to myself & I went in expecting little & was pleasantly surprised.
Of course, had I expected much, I’d likely be disappointed. But happy am I that I was ready to get down with OTT. Ya, you know me.
Silly me, I didn’t quite get what I expected. The OTT was mild (though still there—this is a contemporary MF writer, after all). Yes, I’m stereotyping. Kill me.
Ok: Gay man Bi-man Straight-man (not for long!)
This was really straight-man’s journey since he is the one who ventures into all things dick. Of course, only the two aforementioned dicks. Because other dicks would likely make him really gay (this is sarcasm).
And that’s pretty much the book. Sure, there are some bikers, and Dogs Bitches (biker speak for women) Assholes (literal and figurative) Attempted murder More attempted murder Arranged marriages (This is the OTT shit were getting to now!) Evil fathers Loving almost stepmothers Middle Eastern women beaters Random throuples And barbecues
This basically all happens before there is any SEX on the page. I know, right?
But once the sex starts the bed springs a-squeaking, those suckers never get a rest! Sexfest. With all three. With just the two. Then the other two. And the other two.

The book had serious issues; first and foremost among these was HORRENDOUS editing. Dropped words. Wrong words. Misspelled words. Incomplete sentences (not a purpose). Arrrghhhh! It killed me. Seriously.
Also an issue for me was Carter’s frequent address to the reader. No other MCs did this and so it felt out of place.
Lastly, we had an influx of POVs towards the end of the book. I like consistency and these added voices along with the previous “issues” went against any flow I needed to fully enjoy the story.
That being said...I love the concept and characters Glass created here. I like the alien ménage. I just wish it had been looked over by an editor.
This one ends in a bit of a cliffhanger with the future uncertain for Pykh, Siel, and Carter. I’d like to see another book in the series for sure. I’d also volunteer to Beta read the thing so simple errors are not overlooked by the writer. ...more
I had no idea what to expect from this book. What I got was simply WONDERFUL!! It made me laugh, and giggle, and engaged my imFunny and Kinky Aliens!!
I had no idea what to expect from this book. What I got was simply WONDERFUL!! It made me laugh, and giggle, and engaged my imagination in picturing cat-like aliens with prehensile tails lusting after a human omega while attempting to escape the clutches of enormous insects!!!
It was AWESOME! This one ends with a lovely ménage and a cliffhanger, so be prepared to read the next one.

This has to be my favorite MMM book I have ever read. I’m not kidding. ITS AMAZING!! IT’S HAF! FUNNY, CUDDLY, DRACONIAN, FLUFFY, EGGY, Full of riches, secrets, love and baby dragons.
Really, what more can you ask for?
This was my FAVORITE of the series BY FAR...and I LOVED THE OTHER TWO!!!
All three MCs were amazing, but I’ve got to give it up for Ian and his amazingly dirty talk in bed. Wow!!
If you’ve yet to start on this series, get going! Read them in order and be ready for dragonlicious fun!...more
