What a sweet love story! We don’t get many MC’s who don’t fit the stereotypical physical ideal be they twinks or jocks. Here Cárdeno C. gives us Oliver, who weighs in at nearly 300 pounds. He is over 6’, but he still carries a lot of weight and much doubt about his attractiveness, sexual ability, and suitability.
Maybe he’s a little bit like us—insecure and assured that a Prince Charming doesn’t go for his type. Well, go for his type he does and Cárdeno brings it about in a very fun way.
It’s all fluff and zero angst.
My rec? It’s perfect for times like these...wrap yourself up in this little cozy blanket of love!...more

Sexy as sin...GFY/OFY!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn, this was fun!!! This is one of my favorite tropes!! How can I possibly resist popping cherries and the new found joys of the magical p-spot? I can’t. Not at all.
So this lovely story sets up an Englishman and a Scotsman as co-best men at their siblings’ wedding at a castle on Loch Ness. How’s that for romantic??
Of course, Declan, the sexy, straight, brooding Scot (who Gary Furlong gives the SEXIEST SCOTCH BROGUE TO) and Sam, the gay, happy-go-lucky world traveler DON’T HIT IT OFF at all.
Well, things change. Things like Declan liking Sam. Things like Declan wanting to be around Sam. Things like Declan wanting to touch Sam. This is all fantastic!! 💕💕💕
Now here is where we come to the pivotal point in any GFY novel: how will the “straight” guy handle his attraction to another man? How this is handled is sooooo important. And here it was handled adequately.
See, my dears, Declan could give a shit about being attracted to Sam. He just knows he is and goes with it. Full steam ahead. SPOILER!!!! (view spoiler)[Absolutely NO freak out or regrets (hide spoiler)]. So, that reaction is a little hard to swallow for me. But Declan swallowed it very well, indeed.
Buuuuut.....Dec goes on to explain this and his inner monologue makes sense. So, I give him a pass. (Because he had a fucking fantastic accent).
What I LOVED about this delicious booty cherry popping scene was that it wasn’t all Stars ✨ and Rainbows 🌈 for our Declan. Noooo... it freaking hurt!!! Thank you Ms Starling for honoring the pain of anal breaching here 👏👏👏👏. Of course, Dec soon succumbed to the magic of the prostate and he was a goner. Can’t be helped (although that I’ll never know 😫 prostate envy is a terrible thing to live with).
I also ADORED all the references to one of the best movies of all times, The Princess Bride.....Sam and Declan have the thing memorized and they are hilarious with the dialogue using it during every single activity you can imagine.
While this was not love at first sight, it was close enough cause these two hotties fell in love over a wedding weekend.
So what happens to our lovers? Well, there’s a bit of a family secret and it means that we get to see more of these delicious men.
Major kudos 👏👏👏to Gary Furlong for NAILING The narration. Is there an accent the man cannot master? I think not!
I am totally digging my Starling/Furlong binge!! Feel free to join me, loves, it’s soooo worth it!...more

4.5 Stars! This book, I couldn't put it down!!!
The beginning broke me. Ethan goes on his honeymoon alone after walking in on his fiance with another man the night before his wedding. Although this first part had a bit too much of internal monologuing going on, it soon gave way to straight up confrontation, rage, and despair.
But worry not about the angst level here, my lovelies, Ethan soon distracts himself from his idiot of an ex by crushing on Clay, the hot, straight, older driver for the Australian tour he was on.
The way the friendship between these two men developed was enchanting and unforced. Although very different, they got each other and enjoyed spending time together.
Ethan is hard of hearing and Clay is beyond accommodating. As time goes on, you can see Ethan feel more sure of himself. You can also see Clay regard Ethan differently and edge toward this new-found attraction. Clay takes being with a bloke for the first time really well, but it felt real. It was sweet and the fit between the two men was perfect and unrushed.
There's a reason a forty-something divorced father of two grown kids hasn't been into sex until he meets Ethan. And hell is it ever fun watching him explore the joys of sex (yes), and again see Ethan gain confidence in himself.
You just really have to read this!! ❤️❤️❤️It's full of love without the goo. It's delicious without ten pounds of sugar to rot your teeth. It's sexy without being overloaded with sex. It's basically just about a perfect vacation with a perfectly perfect HEA!

Original ebook review Sept 2018: A Fairytale Romance! 3.5 Stars!!
A super sweet HEA, LOTS of heat, and tiny white Speedos turn this novella into a cozy, fluffy, blanket you want to wrap around you for an afternoon full of love and comfort.
Not groundbreaking and not Walker's best work, but a fun read with lovely tension at the beginning!

ORIGINAL EBOOK Nov 2018: Like the slow movements of the tides and the wonderous expanse of the stars, this book slowly filled me with love for the two men who needfully and inevitably came to trust each other.
Perhaps the slow pacing of the book will needle those desperate for more to happen. Perhaps this need for FASTER and NOW will get in the way of some readers from enjoying the beauty of the words Walker set down. And perhaps this slow undercurrent of love will keep them from allowing our MCs to take their own journey. This is their book, not mine, nor yours. This book of theirs told their love story the way it needed to be told—patiently, steadily, and sometimes ferociously.
One man escapes a brutal, abusive situation by disappearing into a wildfire. His stars guide him south until he comes to a jagged scrap of rock: Kangaroo Island. Mistrustful of everything and everyone, a man without a name, he meets the kind lighthouse keeper—a man who has been living through his own sorrows, a man also emotionally apart from others.
So you wonder how a story of an abused man and a grieving man can become the magical tale that Walker spun? Well, trust, kindness, understanding and patience go a long way towards healing souls. And that’s exactly what happened. The slowest of burns by design on the part of the two lovers allowed for the inclusion and exorcism of their pasts.
Some might think that openly grieving an ex-partner an intrusion on a current relationship, but one can’t just erase past love, like pain, as it never happened.
The romance, passion and sex these two share on this journey is STUNNING!!! It’s SEXY, yes ROMANCE IS SEXY!! Romance and not insta-love, not insta-heal is what is at the heart if this story and I loved every page of it. I also loved how INCREDIBLY HOT the sex was because of the romance.
This story set at the world’s end has a happy ending for our lovers and a very satisfying one for me.

I was sucked in from the get-go with a super hot scene behind a tool shed between two strangers who end up being our MCs.
Typically, I’m not a Mary Calmes fan since I find her writing a bit OTT in a bodice ripper kind of way. But here, it worked for me due to the short length of the story, and the loveliness of Weber...the man everyone loves except himself. I also enjoyed the needy heat between him and Cy.
Fun, hot & short...who wouldn’t want Web for a manny?
And you know what? I would totally read this again because it SCREAMS “UBER COMFORT READ!”...more

Original audiobook review Jan 2017: Hot hot hot!,
"I kissed a boy and I liked it."
And boy, did he ever like it! This is the very sweet, very sexy story of straight Tristan and heartbroken Blue. A surprise kiss changes both of their lives. The novel is not full of angst nor drama. The MCs are so damned likeable that I didn't really miss the big lack of conflict in the story. Together Tristan and Blue are smoking hot!
I listened to most of this novel on audiobook and I have to tell you that Michael Pauley's voice is so sexy it should be illegal. Really.
A fun, hot read! I can't wait to read the next two books in the series....more
