Luckily, the dark wasn’t too dark and even though it was not my sort of thing, it was tame enough that I was able to get through it and even sort of enjoy it? Yeah. It wasn’t so bad. I’ve realized I’ve read a few of this sort of book so somewhere in my psyche I must have a thing for it? I don’t necessarily want to investigate that any further but yeah, I think as long as they aren’t too out there, I might like a little Stockholm Syndrome in my romance every now and then.
This had a couple twists I didn’t see coming that upped my enjoyment, they definitely made me feel better about myself at least. HAHAHAHAHA! It certainly wasn’t healthy and there were some pretty serious things going on, but overall, it was really just a different sort of romance. Not everyone’s cup of tea but it for sure worked for Duncan and Teddy.
Honestly, I think that I read so many romances I thought it would fun to read an anti-Valentine’s Day romance in February and it was fun.
I’m going to take a look at the others in the series, they are all from different authors and I don’t know if they are connected in any sort of way but I figure they are worth looking at. It’s February all month long after all.

Some of the timeline was confusing to me. I'm not the biggest fan of a dead mate and well, the part I've kind of blocked from my brain, well, I don't know if that was all that sexy really. It felt a little icky.
Like I said, I just don't know.
But, I love, love, love the Fae and even better, I love books that just throw all the Paranormal peeps in. Lions and Tigers and Bears oh my! Or, well, vamps and wolves and witches just to name a few....more

I liked this way better than I thought I would. I like that this was a revisit of all the couples from the first four books and not a shorty on someone new. It was a good refresher for me and each story was fun and unique and of course, hot.
You can't go wrong with finally getting together with your first crush, yeah?
