I have to say that this really was not a story I enjoyed reading at all. It's about a man with a family who decides to cheat on his family with a woman he meets at a conference. He has no remorse about the deal, but the woman does.
I found it hard to be able to relate to the protagonist at all. I can't feel anything for his character accept that I don't like him. I know this sort of thing happens, but I didn't enjoy reading about it. I didn't think there was much of a twist or anything accept telling this despicable character's story and not making him likable. It happens all the time and it's part of life, but as a reader, I wasn't crazy about it.
This is a story in Fragile Things Collection by Neil Gaiman

This sounds truly awful Calista. Gaiman is someone I can take or leave, some of his books I really like and others are just meh.
