[edit]

I removed two sentences as I felt they were unnecessary detail. e.g. "These local dogs have a certain level of bones, and to beat them at these games, you must have a higher amount of bones." (This was not entirely accurate anyway as you could still beat the other dogs if you didn't have as many bones - it was just more difficult) Arganoid 16:22, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not that good..

[edit]

The game was successful with most reviewers, stating it was an original, fun idea, and a change of pace from violent shooters or beat-'em-ups.

That is so wrong. This game is reviewed as a bad game almost everywhere. ([1])

I think it's a great game Melon247 (talk) 19:59, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is a brilliant game, i enjoy playing it now and again —Preceding unsigned comment added by 33rd rec john (talkcontribs) 20:41, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

An incorrect sentance

[edit]

I removed this scentence, as it was incorrect. 'all of which any nearby humans will react to posotively or negatively'. Before that part it said that humans would react to begging, sitting, lying down, urinating or pooping (humans do not react to Jake lying down or sitting.)Melon247 (talk) 19:57, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

I have undone some vandalism on this page. I apologise if writing this was unessicery, I use wikipedia often but rarely edit pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zirnitra (talkcontribs) 15:46, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

virtual pet

[edit]

why is this game in the catagory for virtual pets? I know you have to make jake eat and poop, but it's not like you have to take him for walks and play with him or stuff like that. And in virtual pet games you can't controll the pets yourself.Melon247 (talk) 09:09, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, this is a game where you control an avatar that happens to be a dog, and you are not raising any creaure or taking care of them. I'll remove the cat now. --Enric Naval (talk) 14:07, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

World Record

[edit]

Just to let you know I didn't get that info from the internet; I read it in the Guinis Book of World Records (however you spell it) Gamers Version. So I'm not sure where to find a citation or whatever. Melon247 (talk) 08:45, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You'd cite the book. Title, page number, that sort of thing. Geoff B (talk) 18:26, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I worked on Dog's Life, but I hadn't heard of this record before. I don't have a list of voice actors who were in the game, but I thought that Kerry Shale did most of the male voices. I'm not even sure there were as many as 32 male characters in the game. Arganoid (talk) 18:42, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He might do the female characters as well. It's not as if it's that hard for men to put on a female voice (I don't think). Melon247 (talk) 09:39, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wait, what if different people did the voices in the UK and US versions? That would make sense, considering that in the UK version no one (apart from the Lumberjack) sounds American. Melon247 (talk) 09:40, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, the voices were the same for the US and UK versions. And I'm sure that no female voices were done by men. What does the entry in the Guinness book say exactly? Arganoid (talk) 10:04, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Melon told me on his talk page that he saw it on the 2009 edition, so I added it as a ref. Someone with access to the book should verify it and give the exact page number where it appears. --Enric Naval (talk) 13:45, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just a note: I'm not a he. Melon247 (talk) 14:23, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hours of Gameplay

[edit]

I'm not sure if 40 hours of gameplay actually rings true or not. I remember, at least a year ago now, I'd play the game for an hour every morning before getting ready for school and a playthrough of the whole game would only take me 6 days if I wasn't playing the game any other time. This would be getting all the scents and bones and everything. Realisticly, the hours of game time depends on the person. Even when I first got this game I don't know whether I really would have played it for 40 hours before finishing. --Melon247 talk 14:04, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't even remember the case info mentioning that. Also, the time to finish will vary for person to person. I'm removing that line. --Yowuza yadderhouse |meh 16:17, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I still havent completed the game after 16 hours but i doubt it will take 40 hours for me to finish it33rd rec john (talk) 20:40, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

Assessed as Start; poorly formatted reception section, as well as having poor wording and excessive use of review sources without using the reviews in prose; images don't really seem to convey the major aspects of the game, and in fact the image rationales are that they act as "extra images", which is as good as no rationale since we strive to use as few fair use images as possible; poor grammar all around; and general cleanup necessary. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 10:40, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Peaches or Miss Fortune?

[edit]

Is the villain called Miss Peaches or Miss Fortune? The article seems to use both names, which confused me. Equinox (talk) 18:25, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
