I just want to say that this book is not a perfect 5 stars. It had some things that I would have given it 4.5 or 4 stars. However, I REALLY enjoy reading this book and fell in love with the characters so much that I couldn’t give it less.
Two mafia families the Irish wich are The Griffins and the Italians which are The Gallo are mortal enemies. Something happens that they decided to be have an alliance. The alliance is form by an arranged marriage with people that completely hate each other.
Enemies to Lovers + Arranged Marriage + Mafia = SOLD
Aida and Callum are completely opposite like fire and ice but they really have insane chemistry, it’s undeniable. Aida is wild, passionate, carefreee, bold and so smart. Callum is cold, determined, bold and smart. On paper they don’t seem to mesh well but they do really make a great team. Their chemistry felt quick but organic at that same time if that makes sense. I really like them as couple.
Things I didn’t personally like is that I wish there banter/snarky comments wouldn’t go away once they know they har feeling’s for each other. It’s implied that it happens but I want to see it happening, I think is more of a personal preference. Another thing, I would have love for them to get like a real date but this a mafia world aka they don’t have much time in the book, personal preference here. Last, I find it way too funny sometimes when I think it was supposed to be intimidating…i don’t know how i’m supposed to feel about that.
Nonetheless, I really like them as a couple and love the world that Sophie Lark built. I’m so excited to dive in the other books specially Aida brothers they seem hot and sweet. Sophie Lark i’m amazed with this fascinating world that you created and your unique writing which I love. I’m really excited for the next book.
