Definitely had my doubts through the story but the ending and the plot twist that it took made it even better. The romance was good could’ve been great but this is mostly a plot book. After a lot of thinking, I guess this book falls on the romantic suspense category? It has a suspense plot and romance as a side plot.

The pace of the book is so much better than the first one. The world building expanded but it didn’t lost you or confused you. The writing improve so much, I was impressed.

As a divorce parent kid, this hit hard and very close to home but it was done so perfectly that I got a little scared at how similar the events of my life and what happens in this book happened.
Everything was perfect even their imperfections were perfect if that makes sense. I loved this and it’s going to stick with me forever.
This is my first Kennedy Ryan book and i’m so glad because I fell in love with her writing and I know i’m going through her backlist next year for sure <3

The characters are amazing. Solange takes the cake here, I felt so identified with her and her struggles. Dean was a grower for me and loved his journey. Their chemistry was amazing and it made me giddy. The side characters were also amazing, loved las tias and the cousins. Loved the family dynamic and reminded me so much of mine.
The romance gave with fake dating, friends to lovers, one bed trope and little bit of spice. It made me giddy and I was smiling like I was the main character.
The writing in this book is amazing. The humor in this book, I loved it. I’m heartbroken with the rating in goodreads, it should absolutely be higher. Mia Sosa, I want more of your books.
Overall, highly recommend if you are looking for a rom-com. I mean fake dating and one bed trope should sold you for this one!!!

Jules is officially my favorite heroine of all time. I have never related to an heroine insecurities more than her. I found myself relating to her in so many ways. That made the whole book more special.

Every time I saw it I was scared on what journey the book will give me. It doesn’t help when you see people recommending the series and say go in blind. Nonetheless, I always like to go blind because one way or the other they will surprise me. This one is the my most pleasant surprise:
I had my suspicious about the first book and what was about…I was kinda correct but at the same time further from the truth. When I read Flock I was captured from the prologue even though I didn’t understand it but I knew in the end of the series I would. In my eyes, Flock is my dream and will always be, there are no words to explain it but that’s how it feels. Left with the expectation of confusion, I think is the best introduction to a series. The story starts there even if the book had most of it no plot, that is the introduction and it was hella done.
Exodus…it’s an emotional wreck and that is no secret. I personally would never recover from what happens in that book. It will always hurt as much I would like to admit that I would move on. I can see myself one year from now hurting hearing the quote that destroys me. It’s a beautiful story about love and brotherhood that I would never forget.
The Finish Line is the perfect ending to the series. If you read it you know that this books wasn’t going to exist and sometimes I couldn’t agree more, I thought after Exodus I had the closure I needed it but boy I was wrong. Thank God for Kate Stewart brains and fingers for writing a HUGE EXTENDED EPIOLOGUE that not only brought me closure but helped love a character that I resented since his introduction. He may not be my favorite but he was right for her.
For any reader that it’s intrigued by this series my recommendation is DO IT but it’s not for everyone like every other book in the planet. It’s a romance filled with mystery and suspense. It’s a tear jerker but worth every penny. I hope you love it as much as I do <3

Ali Hazelwold wrote a beautifully rom-com. Laughing, in aww, teary and steamy. What more can you want? Definitely, excited for her future projects.
