The relationship development between Freya and the guys was non-existent. The only reason why I kept reading was bc the plot was actually interesting but I don’t think I’ll pick up book 2.

dev was down baaad. I really enjoyed his character. he’s a softie. willow was really passionate about what she does and I really liked that too.
however - I really cannot get down with brother’s best friend when it’s the only reason they can’t be together. at one point willow literally goes up to her brother and was like “i wanted to get your permission” MA’AM?? he is not your father!!! anyway yeah I don’t love this trope and I think I’ll stay away from it for now.

finding accurate and respectful mental health rep in books is my fav, and sarah wrote this book so beautifully. their love story is one of tender slow burn and learning each other. jack is so lovely and I related to raine’s neurospicy-ness soooo much.
this book is out now ♥️ thank you berkley romance for sending me a copy.

just based on the tropes alone, I knew I would. I’m a sucker for fake dating romances, but what was completely unexpectI absolutely adored this one ♥️
just based on the tropes alone, I knew I would. I’m a sucker for fake dating romances, but what was completely unexpected to me was the actually perfect friends-to-lovers to oh-shit-I-love-him/her arc. this book was full of emotion, laughter, tension, and some of the best anxiety rep I’ve read. jacob really was that simp for her. I mean, he stayed outside a restaurant in the pouring rain for 3 hours just to talk to her and get covered in mosquito bites, got her taco bell, and also agreed to be her brother’s kidney donor?! name a better mmc who exemplifies acts of service. I’ll wait.
the letter writing in the beginning felt so genuine and perfect for them. their banter? top tier. I loved reading about the two of them quietly falling in love and being harmless to each other.
in all honestly though, this was such an amazing read. I read in last month and I’m still think about their love story.
in terms of the 3rd act breakup, I get why it happened. but I hated it. there was never ever any indication briana couldn’t trust jacob and honestly it HURT me. I get it but I hate it.
