Ashley has been through hell for months she has been beaten and mentally abused but each day she plans to escape. When the opportunity occurs she runs and runs until she appears to wake up in Becks house. Ashley goes through soo much not only is she being hunted by her abuser but fighting her feelings with beck. Beck is such a great guy willing to take her in and help her recover. Beck was dealing with demons himself but with the presence of Ashley changes him completely. Great story Jennifer Ryan sure does know how to write a story can't wait to read the nest book.

The girl he meets happens to be Honor, Harper's cousin. When they realize that somehow they are both there to repair themselves they start doing some secret hanky panky. Honor is on the run from the cult she belonged to wanting more for her kids she stays with her cousin but she ended up falling in love. When they are discovered what they have been doing things get worse. Ups and downs occurred but threw the mess that happens they somehow find a way to make it last and show that nothing is wrong with instant love. In comes Charlie aka the mysterious helper aka Charlotte who happens to part of the current case they are on. When they meet its cute because they are both in a way shy but they have most of it in common like their savy tech side. Trying to solve the case of the murder of her friend but also solving the case of illegal organ transplant they get closer to solving it but all it took was piecing the pieces together. This story is filled with great mystery and some bada$$ hacking skills, Charlie is a great heroine because she is shy but still able to hold her own and stand up to others.

Jack was a great guy never putting on the moves on her always trying to win her trust before she tries to run again. Jack made a personal promise to not let her run and hopefully to see that she can trust him and soon love him. This started with intense then soon you got to see her slowly gain back her power to take her ex down, I loved that she spoiled the family she saw that they put her back to health a stranger soon she repays them all insuring they are all safe.
