1.5 stars. BOOOYYYYYYYY. You know the feeling when you are so excited for a book and you keep putting it for the right time and it turns out to be this1.5 stars. BOOOYYYYYYYY. You know the feeling when you are so excited for a book and you keep putting it for the right time and it turns out to be this hot garbage. Yes. This book was a mess; the protagonist, the action sequences, the inherent sexism was just too much for me and coming for a 14 year old just made it worse somehow. The sub plot thingy took so long to come to the surface that it was just not worth it. The protagonist portrayed as this dark, gloomy. Luciferesque (not the hot guy from the series but other one down in hell) was so unbelievable, I wish more attention was given to his character as a whole. The .5 stars are for the darker themes that I was looking for in this book aka the only thing mildly right and could have been much better if tried. A sore disappointment....more

This book was both what I expected and not expected at the same time. My problem with the book was that although it was beautifully written, I wish there were more spooky, creepy scenes because the one that were there were magnificent. The social commentary, on the other hand took me by surprise. A good kind of surprise....more
